Just wanted to say a big ole "THANKS!" to Jim (the old Jarhead in Tulsa sorta Jim, that is) for the punched-out Dyna exhaust and the carb rejetting tips. Got all that good stuff finished yesterday, and man, what a difference! Both in sound and performance. Noticed that the midrange and top end are MUCH stronger, and the sound, well... let's just say it suits my hooligan soul perfectly! A nice, deep boom at idle, a great growl at 50 or so, and a snarl from hell wide open on the highway. Ahhh, to be offensive again!
Rode about 70 miles after work yesterday, and I'm STILL grinning. Learned one thing though. With this exhaust setup, it is NOT wise to crack the throttle while the bike's still in the garage! Ears are still ringing, LOL...
Hey folks, looks like at least three Savages are going to show up at our Iron Horse Stables rally in June. (Mine, Witch Doctor's and Klietable, a dude from Hot Springs) OK, who's gonna make it four???? For info, look for a thread about "Savage Rally 2001" waaaaay farther down the list.
